Goof Gooferson's True Wrestling Fan Column: Another Review of the Worst Thing On Earth
So a lot of you seemed to really like my review on last week's forced viewing of Monday Nightmare 'RAW' (LOL, see what I did there?), so I decided out of the kindness of my heart (and because I was getting pretty sick of crying myself to sleep) to cover every RAW show for the year so you can see how HORRIBLE it truly is. Last week was terrible. It was so bad that the people I followed were having mental breakdowns over how awful it was! Those poor guys, they're suffering because McHilter won't off himself and let VWE die (and before you ask, SmackDown is overrated sheep-dung). But you know what? I'm gonna suffer with them cause I have a job to do. I have to warn you guys about the evils of VWE and convert you into becoming AEW fans in the hope that one day things will be like M'Attitude Era. Anyways...let's get this over with. The show starts with a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr...okay, I'll admit. It was a really good opening package. You win this round VWE! Okay, now for some wrestl- Randy Orton's Monologue What the fuck am I looking at? Why is Randy wearing a lucha mask and sitting at the place Tommy End (I refuse to call him by his slave name) once sat in? How does this make any sense? Why can't he sleep? Why doesn't he just flip everyone off like M'Moxley does? And why the fuck is Randy's nose so red? This angle makes no sense. Yes, I did watch the last few episodes of RAW, I know what I'm doing! At least they remembered continuity. They almost never do that anymore. Ric Flair and Lacey Meh-vans UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH. We're only fifteen minutes in and this is already worse than last week's show. I can't believe we're continuing this god-awful storyline. There's no reason for them to be together other than to make Lacey seem more like a star. Well, guess what? IT'S NOT WORKING! Peyton Rose vs. Charslut Unflair (Get it? Cause it's unfair that she gets all the attention LMAOOOOO) This match starts off when Peyton attacks Charslut on the way down the entrance ramp. FUCK YEAH! FINALLY Peyton is getting a push. I've always liked her. She was such a good worker and has the charisma to go far (this was always what I said. Any posts before this are irrelevant). Then the commercials ended and Charslut started burying Peyton with her genetically enhanced mucsles. Peyton managed to stop her by hitting her on the ringpost and hit those BORING chinlocks that hold the wrestlers back from doing their cool flippy moves. Oh no. Ric Flair is in the house. Along with Lacey...I hate this. I hate this so much. The only way this will be in any way good is if Peyton Royce wins. And given she just went from the cover and only got a two count, I have my doubts. Aaaand Lacey and Ric are gone. So what did this add to the match? NOTHING! Did this have any purpose to the match at hand? NO! Was the point of this? Kangaroo. And if you're wondering what that means, to great the booked to oblivion Lex Luger, I DON'T KNOW! If you haven't guessed yet, Charslut won. She even held onto the Figure Eight like the asshole she is. -*** stars. And that's only because there was a sliver of hope that I'd be wrong. But I'm not, because I am a fucking genius. Asuka, Alexa and Matt Riddle M'Asuka is going up against M'Alexa...I'm so conflicted...they're both great wrestlers but...only one of them can win. What do I do? Do I support Asuka and her amazing title reign? Or Alexa in her quest to bring back The Fiend, which has totally been her story this entire time? Oh, here's Matt being unfunny again. And to the Hurt Business no less! It ends with Bobby stomping on Matt's foot. Riddle me this. Who should've gone to the good guys when he had the chance? RIDDLE, THAT'S WHO. You could've lost to Godking Cody and been a staple on AEW Dark, but now you're being buried by the Fed. Suck it Riddle. I always thought you were overrated anyway (again, also what I always thought of). Xavier Woods vs. Dio Madden (True name) Soooo did you know that Dominik Dijakovic is an asshole? He called out Sammy Guevara a few days ago. What a dickhead! How dare you call him out for something you already stole?! I thought he was a good wrestler, but I guess McHilter has officially brainwashed him. Whatever. I always thought he was overrated anyway. Anyways, Xavier slapped Mustafa and that pissed Retribution off. Good. They've all been buried anyway, they should be angry. They all need to go to AEW. Except for Dominik. Fuck him. Mace is beating up Xavier Woods. Which, why? Like, jeez. Xavier isn't getting any momentum. What the fuck is going? Is Xavier being buried? Please tell me he's not being buried. The stable which should not be named doesn't deserve any wins! Xavier gets some momentum going as he takes Mace down to a knew and starts fighting back. Dio gets him into a choking grip and Mustafa is on the floor. Oh jeez. Please tell me they're not going to enter the ring... Dio wins. Fuck. And I was so close to giving them a star. Oh well. -***. It would've been minus five had Xavier been squashed but whatever. Okay I need to rant for a bit. What the fuck was with WWE cutting off Asuka's promo? This is your RAW women's champion and you do THIS to them? Clearly they don't respect women's wrestling like AEW does. It doesn't matter that all the workers we have are questionable at best and never get any airtime, our women's division is the best...except for NXT's women division but that's the third brand of the worst promotion around. WrestleMania Report Uuuuuuh...am I supposed to be getting worked here? What the fuck is happening? Is this supposed to be a part of the show? I'm so confused. OOOOOOH, it's talking about WrestleMania. I heard about this on the internet. I don't need a shitty comedic skit to tell me this stuff! Alexa's Playground Finally, a segment worthy of my time! The greatest character actor of our time Alexa talking with the best female wrestler of all time, Asuka...this will be good. Alexa begins by roasting the Viper, Randy Orton. Hell yeah Lexi! Call out that son of a bitch. But now it's time for the good stuff. Asuka is IN DA HOUSE! Asuka tries to sit on the swing, but Alexa stops her. Clearly she's still delusional about The Fiend and will someday become convinced that- WAIT, WAIT, BIG NEWS, BIG NEWS....YAY! ALEXA BLISS IN THE RUMBLE! Okay, what was I saying? Nevermind. Anyways, Asuka starts dancing like the queen she is before Alexa gets mad. Ooooh, now we're getting backstory about Alexa to expand her character. Asuka tries to make her feel better cause that's how a face should act but she makes the mistake of mentioning The Fiend. Asuka then runs off...wait, why tho? Why not just punch Alexa in the face for making a threat she can't follow up? Still a good segment, just not as good as I thought it would be. That in turn makes it a bad segment. Mandy Rose vs. Shayna Baszler Before the match, Jeff Jarrett shills Oldturd for the WWE Championship. Fuck off with that no dime drawing doorknob. Couldn't cut it then, can't get a job now. Oh no. Nia Snaxx is on commentary. Well, time to mute this match. Dang, Shayna is just dominating Mandy. I hope this is a sign that Shayna's going to split from Nia and become a top star. Because that worked very well the last time she ruled a division. Oop Mandy manages to get some steam and starts hitting Shayna with some punches. Shayna counters though and OH SHIT, LOOK AT HOW SHAYNA FUCKS THOSE LIMBS UP. Kirifuda Clutch and a win for Shayna. That was sheer dominance and I love it. THIS IS WHAT WWE NEEDS MORE OF. **** stars. The only reason it's not a five? It went a few minutes too long for me. Nia and Shayna start fighting and Dana takes advantage of it. I'm telling you guys, that's a sign Nia and Shayna are heading to splitsville! Charslut Unflair Interview Charslut Unflair is lying to you. This is clearly a shot to the Charslut haters and I hate it. That is all. Ricochet vs. A.J. Styles (w/Omos) What's this? Ricochet has got a match tonight? And it's against A.J. Styles?! Is...is Ricochet's days of being buried over?! Wait...he has to prove himself if he wants to be in the Rumble? Like Jobber Gulak? STYLES WHY HAVE YOU FORESAKEN US BY FORCING THIS ARBITRARY RULE IN THE ROYAL RUMBLE?!?! AND ON THAT NOTE, WHY ARE YOU A HEEL AGAIN?!?! I hate this show man just...FUCK! Okay Gooferson, calm down. These are two of the best wrestlers on the roster. This has to be good, right? Right? So the match starts with them...chain-wrestling. No guys, that's not how you're supposed to start an A.J Styles/Ricochet match. You're supposed to have them flying around like pinballs in exquisite and totally not choreographed maneuvers. Lots of covers to start out though, that's nice. Okay, now we're picking things up. Ricochet is flying around now. Ricochet stop talking to Styles's friend and hit a dive onto Styles...that wasn't a dive. I'm not impressed. Okay, now he's di- WHAT THE FUCK OMOS? WHY DID YOU CATCH HIM? AND REF? WHY THE FUCK AREN'T YOU DISQUALIFYING HIM?!?!?! I'm this close...I'm this close to just rage-quitting this piece of shit show. The cancer is there in full-view and I want everyone involved to be free from this gulag. But no...I have no choice. I must finish this show. For the good of the people. Here's some more chain-wrestling because clearly WWE hates high-flying talent. At least Ricochet takes back control with a beautiful DDT! Here's a brainbuster by Styles after a missed moonsault. Death Driver Backbreaker by Styles. Now we're getting somewhere! Styles, attempting the Phenomenal Fore-arm...AND RICOCHET HITS THE RECOIL! DO IT RICOCHET! CAPITALIZE!! STYLES AT THE LAST SECOND KICKS OUT AT TWO!!! Do it Ricochet. Hit your best move. Styles gets by at the last second to take Ricochet off the top rope. HOLY SHIT! STYLES CLASH FROM RICOCHET!!! 1! 2! 3! STYLES WINS IT! And now I am...conflicted. Because on one hand, I wanted Ricochet to win...on the other, that was a pretty good match. Oh, fine. Only because this was likely the best thing I'll be seeing tonight... **** 1/2 stars. Sorry, I only give out five stars for perfection. The Dog Shit with The Pizz and John Horribleson (featuring Oldturd) Well, of course. After the best segment of the night, we have to follow it up with the worst one. This is gonna suck. Wait. That's not Goldberg. What the hell? WHAT DID YOU DO? WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO PIZZ AND HORRIBLESON? Oh thank god. Drew McIntyre is gonna set the record stra- WHAT THE FUCK?!?! RAW seems to have broken me tonight. Nevertheless, I shall soldier on for your wonderful people. Anyways, Miz and Morrison start arguing and some of the worst comedy I've ever seen occurs. If they had tried to work me, that would've made this funny but...no, they didn't. So fuck this segment. ALL UPHILL FROM THERE GUYS! Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and Prime Alexander vs. Matt Riddle, Gran Metallik and Lince Dorado I'm so happy they're giving the Lucha House Party some time to shine. I always thought they were underrated (always). It's too bad they have to share the spotlight with Matt Weirdo. Heh, that's a good one actually. I'm gonna start using that. I'm gonna be honest, I haven't been paying that much attention to the match. For one thing, I'm still on a high after that Styles/Ricochet match. Oh, what happened with Alexander? Apparently, his guys are mad at him. Is it because he can back up his ego with action? I think the Hurt Business is jealous. They know they can't deal with the skill Alexander possesses and are deliberately holding him back because they want Bobby Lashley to be the man. Well, that won't do. Alexander will rise above the crop and usurp the tyrannical reign of MVP, and together alongside a newly heel Keith Lee and Ricochet, they will create a new Hurt Business. The Prime Business. This feud goes all the way to WrestleMania and sees Cedric, Keith and Ricochet become silent badasses, hellbent on righting the wrongs of their past. It starts with them running Retribution out of the WWE at the Royal Rumble, burying them into oblivion (it's okay when people I don't like get buried. They deserve it.). Then things get interesting. Keith Lee wins the Rumble and challenges Drew to a WM matchup. Ricochet goes after Bobby Lashley for the U.S title. And as for Cedric? He gets the greatest prize of them all. Taking on MVP and cutting various worked-shoot promos on how awful MVP truly is. In turn, MVP cuts his own shoot-promos detailing his experiences working with Cedric. We'll even bring in family to make things really personal! That is how good story-telling is done after all. In the end, Cedric and MVP have a forty-minute epic that is the main event of WrestleMania. Cedric wins and the entire Prime Business stands tall as the- Oh, the match is over? Shit, I guess I have to give you a rating uh... * star? Yeah, one star is good. Drew McIntyre?!?! Wait a minute, Drew McIntyre's gonna set the record straight?! Hell yeah! Oh, it's just from his gym. Darn. At least it's good to see him again. And he's promising to beat Goldberg in two minutes?! HELL YEAH! FUCK THE OLD MAN UP DREW! Jeff Hardy vs. Racist Ryker -***** stars. It has Racist Ryker in it, which means it's automatically awful. Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss It's time. Main event of the evening! Wait...what's up with the lighting? Why is Alexa all of a sudden looking like a Mary Sue? Why is Asuka being a coward? What is happening right now? I'm so confused...I think I need to lie down. Wait. Alexa won? LIKE THAT?! WHAT?!?! And it's over... WHAT. THE. FUCK?!?! Final Thoughts: Okay Goof, calm down... Well...I guess this wasn't as bad as last week's episode. But that still doesn't mean it was a good episode! There were a lot of problems tonight. Especially with that Asuka/Alexa Bliss matchup! How could you BURY Asuka like this? HOW?! But, the Styles/Ricochet match was good and it was nice seeing Shayna fuck up a Barbie doll so... I give this episode -**** stars. It was shit, but not as shit as last week's. Fed dead, watch AEW! (But Seriously: The first hour wasn't really much, but the two hours after that were a lot of fun. That A.J Styles/Ricochet match was so much fun and I loved that ending! Alexa Bliss outright dominating Asuka was something I never thought I'd see, but if you were planning on cementing Alexa as the next challenger to Asuka's title, that was the way to do it. All in all, pretty solid episode of RAW. Probably a B-.)
Re-Booking the World Heavyweight title from 2010 to present (2017-WM 37)
So make sure you check out part 1 and 2 before coming here but let's get right into it. Building to Wrestlemania 33 we have the same Owens and Jericho story except Owens manages to beat Goldberg retaining the title and setting up Jericho (the royal rumble winner) vs Owens at 33... Wrestlemania 33: Chris Jericho def. Kevin Owens(c) via submission (21:30) Give these guys time to put on the show stealing performance we know they can, and put it up in the main event. Jericho wins when he's tossed in the air for a pop up powerbomb and comes down with a Codebreaker. He puts Owens in the Walls of Jericho to make him suffer as his former best friend taps out. Payback 2017: Chris Jericho(c) def. Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing match (24:02) Owens and Jericho brutalize each other and Jericho even gets up from an apron powerbomb. The finish sees Jericho fight Kevin Owens on top of a ladder on the stage (Jericho teased and elbow drop or something) and Jericho suddenly jumps off and shoves the ladder over sending Owens off the stage through tables for the 10 count. Jericho retains. Extreme Rules 2017: Chris Jericho(c) def. Roman Reigns via pinfall (18:45) Jericho and Owens have a great match with Reigns getting pinned off a second Codebreaker to allow Jericho onto month 4. Baron Corbin wins the SD MITB contract and Finn Balor wins the Raw contract.... Great Balls of Fire 2017: Samoa Joe def. Chris Jericho(c) via submission (16:10) Joe makes Jericho pass out after attacking him before the match with a Uranage through the announce table. Samoa Joe is the new World Heavyweight champion. Summerslam 2017: Samoa Joe(c) def. Roman Reigns via pinfall and Braun Strowman (26:57) Joe picks up the win in a triple threat hitting a Muscle Buster to Reigns on a chair and retaining. No Mercy 2017: Samoa Joe(c) def. Braun Strowman via submission (20:08) Give the samoan badass a pass out out victory here over the monster. TLC 2017: Samoa Joe(c) def. Roman Reigns in a TLC match (23:40) Reigns gets close to a win but Joe is next to him on the ladder and locks in the Coquina Clutch before sending Reigns through a table and retaining. Survivor Series 2017: Brock Lesnar(c) def. Samoa Joe(c) via pinfall (non title champ vs champ match in brand warfare) Same match as at Great Balls of Fire, because this is the one time brand warfare is useful. Royal Rumble 2018: Samoa Joe(c) def. Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing match (24:37) Strowman takes Joe to his limit but Joe sneaks a low blow and tosses Strowman off the stage for the win. Finn Balor announces on Raw he'll be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract for Wrestlemania 34... Elimination Chamber 2018: Samoa Joe makes Finn Balor pass out during a contract signing We get a contract signing where Joe attacks Balor before locking in the Coquina Clutch until he passes out. Wrestlemania 34: 'Demon" Finn Balor def. Samoa Joe(c) via pinfall to become new World Heavyweight champion (25:56) Balor and Joe put on an absolute classic with Joe kicking out of a 1916 and a Coup De Grace, while Balor escapes a Coquina Clutch and kicks out of a Muscle Buster. Finn gets the win by backing Joe into the corner when he goes for a Coquina Clutch and then hitting a Pele Kick. He goes up and hits a Coup De Grace to become new WHC. Balor finally gets a real reign. Backlash 2018: Finn Balor(c) def. Samoa Joe via pinfall in a No Holds Barred match (24:20) Joe and Balor destroy each other with chairs, trash cans, and even a fire hydrant. Joe nearly wins with a Muscle Buster on a chair, but Balor hitting a Coup De Grace through a table ultimately puts Joe away. Money in the Bank 2018: Finn Balor(c) def. Samoa Joe in a ladder match (19:03) Balor gives Joe one final title shot at the title in a ladder match. Joe is of course unable to win the title, but he puts on a great match. Extreme Rules 2018: Finn Balor(c) def. Kevin Owens w/ Sami Zayn via pinfall (17:32) Balor gets his next win against Kevin Owens with heavy distraction from Sami Zayn. Even that isn't enough as Balor fights both guys off and retains his title. Summerslam 2018: Finn Balor(c) def. Kevin Owens via pinfall and Sami Zayn (22:41) In the main event of Summerslam, Balor is teamed up on the whole match. He puts on an underdog fight until at the end when Owens tosses Balor out of the ring.....and turns into a Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn. Zayn pins Owens. 1...2....Balor comes down with a Coup De Grace on both guys. Zayn rolls out of the ring and Balor pins Owens again. Side Note: Zayn vs Balor will be revisited but now we get a heel vs heel match at Hell in a Cell with Owens and Zayn Hell in a Cell 2018: "Demon" Finn Balor(c) def. Braun Strowman via pinfall in a Hell in a Cell match (21:14) Balor has to bring out the demon against the monster among men, and in this brutal bout he manages to retain. The biggest spot of the match sees Strowman go for a running powerslam through the cell wall, but Balor gets off his back, runs and dropkicks him into the wall knocking it down. He climbs half way up the cage and hits a Coup De Grace with Strowman against the cell wall. He drags Strowman in and hits one more Coup De Grace to get the win. Survivor Series 2018: Daniel Bryan(c) def. Finn Balor(c) via submission (20:51) Give Bryan and Balor a great match with Balor getting hit off the ropes and then locked in the Yes Lock to lose. TLC 2018: Sami Zayn def. Finn Balor(c) via pinfall (21:17) Balor and Zayn go at it for the WHC yet again and this time Zayn is the one coming out on top. The finish sees Balor go for the dropkick to the corner but Zayn explode out with a Helluva kick. 1...2..3. Zayn ends Balor's reign at 9 months. Now Balor can win the IC title as in real life and then take that time off he wanted. Royal Rumble 2019: Sami Zayn(c) def. Finn Balor via submission (18:02) Balor gets one more shot, and he nearly wins. He hits a 1916 on Zayn and pins him. 1...2...suddenly Zayn locks in the Koji Clutch on Balor, bringing it back for the first time in years. Balor struggles but has to tap out. Elimination Chamber 2019: Sami Zayn(c) def. Baron Corbin via pinfall (14:50) Zayn gets a quick defense against Corbin (who won the WWE title on his cash in in this universe. Fuck Jinder Mahal.) Wrestlemania 35: Seth Rollins def. Sami Zayn(c) via pinfall to become new WHC (18:35); Seth Rollins turns heel Rollins has the entire world behind him in this show opener. It's close the whole time until Zayn kayfabe throws out his knee. The ref is checking on him when Rollins suddenly stomps him despite him being clearly injured. The crowd is shocked and disgusted as Rollins gets the 1...2...3. As for Zayn, he can take time off and have that heel turn return at the Raw after Summerslam, building to the Artist Collective and the IC title run. In this universe Nakamura got a WWE title run, and Cesaro got 2 WHC runs so all members would be world champs too... Side Note: In this Universe Miz got the 2017 WWE title reign too and beat John Cena at Wrestlemania because he deserved it. He can hold it until Summerslam and drop it to Corbin after a cash in because seriously, I want to set things right for once.... Money in the Bank 2019: Seth Rollins(c) def. Kevin Owens via pinfall (16:06) Owens appears Raw to call out Rollins for being a scumbag to his formestill best friend, and turning face. He puts on a good show but can't get the win. Extreme Rules 2019: Seth Rollins(c) def. Ali via pinfall (16:20) Rollins gets heat by defeating Ali after a low blow. Summerslam 2019: Seth Rollins(c) def. Ali via pinfall (21:43) A better match this time and highly contested, but Ali cannot get it done. Clash of Champions 2019: Seth Rollins(c) def. Ricochet via pinfall (17:51) Now another hot babyface gets murked by Rollins. Close yet again but Ricochet simply can't do it. Hell in a Cell 2019: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt(c) def. Seth Rollins via stoppage How about we flip the script here. The Fiend murders Rollins until the ref stops the match, and Wyatt begins his second reign as world champ. Crown Jewel 2019: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt(c) def. Seth Rollins in a Last Man Standing match Keep this match the same. Now we keep everything the same with The Fiend until Super Showdown 2020.... Super Showdown 2020: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt(c) def. Goldberg via pinfall (5:21) Keep the three spears then kickout, and have The Fiend kick out of a Jackhammer too. Have Goldberg go for another spear but get caught in a Sister Abigail, followed by a Mandible Claw to retain. Elimination Chamber 2020: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt(c) issues a challenge to John Cena Have The Fiend challenge Cena here. Wrestlemania 36: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt(c) def. John Cena in a Firefly Funhouse match Keep this the same as well but have it main event night 1, with the Boneyard match co-main eventing night 2. (McIntyre deserves the main event) Money in the Bank 2020: Braun Strowman def. Bray Wyatt(c) via pinfall to become new WHC Have this be the same because I actually really enjoyed The Fiend vs Strowman feud. Also The Fiend is protected as Wyatt takes the pin instead. Now have everything up to Summerslam be the same, with The Fiend winning it back at Summerslam and appearing for the first time in months. Roman attacks them both but then reveals himself to be Retribution's leader so he splits into a different story. Bliss and The Fiend can still happen as well.... Payback 2020: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt(c) def. Braun Strowman via pinfall and Roman Reigns Change this up by having Reigns enter at the end attacking everyone. Except this time The Fiend tosses Roman out and hits Strowman with a Sister Abigail to win. Clash of Champions 2020: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt(c) def. Hey everyone! Ever since Night Of Champions 2015, through multiple accounts, every month before major WWE pay-per-views, I’ve come on here and booked the cards to make them as exciting, intriguing, and best possible scenarios for the future. I do both NXT and main-roster pay-per-views, as well as the occasional big milestone RAW or Smackdown weekly show. Without further ado, here is how Elimination Chamber 2020 should be booked
KICKOFF-SHOW:
We get the usual kickoff panel of Jonathan Coachman, Charly Caruso, Christian and David Otunga. Throughout the hour, the panel runs down the match card giving their predictions, hyping up the matches and showing us video packages. At about the halfway point in the hour, we get to our kickoff match.
KICKOFF MATCH: Naomi vs. Sasha Banks (w/ Bayley) (Singles match)
It’s a bit frustrating that WWE never announce the kickoff match until the day of the show, so I’m often either forced to make one up on my own or they move one announced for the main show to the kickoff, so the entire logic of this post is thrown off. My life is so hard!! In all seriousness, I think this would be a sensible one, it’s a singles confrontation we haven’t seen much before, and this is a central feud on SmackDown at the moment. Naomi is out first followed by Sasha and Bayley. The match goes about 14 minutes. The two start off with some basic technical chain wrestling and things quickly go south and the two begin slapping the life out of each other and it gets physical quickly. Naomi begins wailing on Sasha with punches and Bayley makes the save, pulling Sasha out of the ring for a breather. The match ends with an impressive counter when Naomi is on a roll and she tries for the Rear View to end it but Sasha catches her in a MID-AIR Backstabber and transitions into the Bank Statement, where Naomi almost gets the ropes once but Sasha pulls her back to the middle of the ring and Naomi is forced to tap. The rumor currently is a 6-pack challenge with pretty much the entire SD Women’s Division for the title at Mania, and booking like that is just so damn lazy. I hate how Wrestlemania has morphed into MultiManMatchMania in recent years, not everyone needs to OR deserves to be on the Mania card. We need to focus on building great stories, tension, and anticipation for the biggest singles matches that WWE can make every year. That should be the point of Wrestlemania. And Sasha vs. Bayley on the big stage is just that. I guess we’ll just have to see where things lead.

MAIN SHOW:
SATAN’S STRUCTURE. cut to random shot of a screaming wrestler. 8,000,000 MILES OF UNFORGIVING STEEL. wrestler laying on the ground, rolling in pain. ELIMINATION CHAMBER. We’ve arrived at the final TIDAL WAVE on the BODY OF WATER To Wrestlemania. Because this year, it’s pirates! Argh! And pirate ships on the ocean! Yeah, dude, let’s go surfing, whoa! You know the drill, let’s get into the show.
1ST MATCH: The Miz and John Morrison (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode vs. Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight) vs. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado) vs. The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) vs. The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso) (Elimination Chamber match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships)
The champions, The Miz and John Morrison are out first, followed by Ziggler and Roode, followed by Lucha House Party, and the final team that will be enclosed in a pod…. Heavy Machinery, Otis and TUCKYYYYYY. We now know the two teams that will begin the match in the ring. A rivalry rekindled…. two of the greatest Tag teams in the world, The Usos and The New Day. The match goes about 27 minutes and we get introductions for each team as they made their entrances down the ramp because otherwise it would take about eight hours. Usos and New Day bring back all their magic together for the opening minutes, as they steal each other’s double-team finishers and hit all sorts of crazy moves. The first increment of 5 minutes pass by and we get the bird’s-eye view of the ring and the lights flash and fluctuate on all four pods, and the team out at #3 are the odds-on favorites… LUCHA HOUSE PARTY. Before Smackdown happened I had Ziggler and Roode out at 3 and Heavy Machinery out last, and then of course Rudolph won the Gauntlet match so my booking of this match had to be pretty much completely restructured. But let’s make do with what we have, my premise is pretty much the same. Metallik and Dorado start flying high right out of their pod and they take Usos and New Day down with dives, hurricanranas, and Lucha Libre that they’re just too big to keep up with. LHP stand tall momentarily before Big E comes literally OUT OF NOWHERE and knocks them both down at once with a Double Clothesline. Big E begins working down Metalik in the corner and Kofi hits an SOS on Jey Uso on the steel grate outside as the next 5 minutes has passed and the clock appears from 10 to 0 again and the team out at #4 are the Champions themselves, MIZ AND MORRISON. They make their way out just as Jimmy Uso dives over the top rope onto Big E on the outside of the ring and Kofi hits a Trouble In Paradise on Lince Dorado, and Miz sees an opportunity and throws Kofi out of the ring. Morrison goes up top and nails a Starship Pain to steal the pin from New Day and LHP are our first team out. We’ve still got New Day, Usos and Miz and Morrison, and the 3 teams duke it out around the structure as the clock appears again and with two teams left in pods, the lights do NOT appear this time because we already know who #6 is so that means we already know who #5 is too and because we have brains, the team out at #5 is HEAVY MACHINERY. They get the biggest pop of the match after Otis’s incredible performance in the Gauntlet on Friday, and they run wild on everyone. Tucky and Otis slam down all comers in the middle of the ring. Big E, Jimmy Uso and John Morrison are all laid out near each other in the center of the ring and we get a TRIPLE FUCKING WORM from Otis as he hits a standing splash on all 3 men at once. Everyone is now flattened like a pancake and also dead so Heavy wins the titles by forfeit. Not really though, because just as Otis and Tucky are standing tall and rule the ring at that moment, the clock appears for our final team to enter the match…. you know what’s about to happen here. The team out at #6 is RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED TAG TEAM…. Dolph Ziggler and Bobbert Roode. We get our classic heel trying to lock themselves in their pods to avoid getting in the ring moment, and Tucky and Otis surround both entry points of the pod that Ziggler and Roode reside in. Otis begins shaking with rage and then screams like he has never screamed before: “THIS IS FOR MY PEAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH!”. Otis uses his strength to snap the pod door off its hinges. Otis storms inside and Roode and Ziggler try their best to rain down with punches on Otis but Otis DOZES UP and ragdolls Roode out of the pod and then Ziggler as they both land on the steel grated outside. All of our teams have now entered the match, with one eliminated so far. Things begin to break down from this point. Our second team is eliminated from the match when it’s Otis vs. Ziggler and Roode In the ring. Roode hits a Glorious DDT on Otis and goes for the pin. 1.2. KICKOUT. Otis dozes up and gets to his feet. Ziggler then nails Otis with a ZigZag. 1.2. KICKOUT. OTIS DOZES UP A SECOND TIME. New Day, Usos, Miz and Morrison and even Tucky are all watching in awe on the outsides of the ring and Otis nails a Running Powerslam on Roode out of the ring. It’s Ziggler and Otis alone now. Otis glances at Tucker and he knows what comes next. COMPACTOR TO ZIGGLER. Otis gets the pin and Ziggler and Roode are out. The crowd is in a frenzy and all of a sudden, with everyone focused on Ziggler’s defeat, everyone has forgotten about Robert Roode who COMES BACK IN WITH A LOW BLOW ON OTIS FROM BEHIND and a GLORIOUS DDT on Tucker. Roode and Ziggler exit the cage now as Miz and Morrsion once again seize opportunity at just the right moment and dogpile on top of the big man for the pin. Heavy Machinery are the third team eliminated and everyone is sad. But don’t worry. In my world, and hopefully in WWE’s world, we’re getting that goddamn Macho Man/Miss Elizabeth moment for Otis and Mandy at Mania. It’s now down to the champions, New Day, and Usos. Rapid fire from here, New Day are eliminated after yet another sprint with their greatest rivals, the Usos, after Jimmy hits an USO SPLASH FROM THE TOP OF THE POD ONTO BIG E for the pin. We now have our final two teams: Miz/Morrison and The Usos. The match finally ends when Miz and Jimmy are down outside the ring, and Jey and Morrison are in the ring and Jey hits a Superkick which sends John down. Jey goes up to finish it but MIZ SCURRIES UP TO THE TOP ROPE AND HITS A SKULL CRUSHING FINALE TO THE MAT BELOW. 1. 2. 3. Somehow, the titles are retained after an incredible match, hopefully one that goes better than the first Men’s Tag Team Chamber all the way back in 2015 now. I do think Usos should be the next champs and this will be a tease for that match, possibly at Wrestlemania if they can even fit it on the card, but Miz and Morrison just won them and while I don’t think it’s in their characters to have an extremely long reign, there is still lots of juice left in their act and they should be on top for a little while longer. Lots of storylines advanced in this match, let’s move on.

We get an ad for the countdown to Wrestlemania, and the commentators review the card so far. Phillips says that, while on the topic of Wrestlemania, one question we are still yet to answer is the status of the Deadman at the show of shows, and AJ Styles might have something to say about that. Boom. Flawless transition into the next match. I AM AWESOME! clap clap clap clap clap
2ND MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Aleister Black (No Disqualification match)
Styles is out first followed by Black. The match goes about 15 minutes and Styles is a sneaky bastard right out of the gate as the bell rings and Styles delivers a poke to the eyes followed by a BRASS KNUCKS PHENOMENAL FOREARM, but it only gets a 2 count. The two world class wrestlers go wild over the 15 minutes and put on a real effort. Some other spots in the match include where Black hits a Black Mass which sends AJ dizzy, but manages to knock Black down with a Pele Kick and both men are now out. | Also, the match spills to the outside to the announce tables. Black clears the Spanish announce table and lays the seemingly unconscious body of AJ across, Black hops up on the barricade and it seems like he’s about to hit his Double Knees/Meteora through the table but BY GOD STYLES GETS UP, HOPS ONTO THE BARRICADE NEXT TO BLACK, MANEUVERS HIS BODY UP AND HITS A STYLES CLASH OFF THE BARRICADE THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE DESK. Fast forwarding on, after a match of carnage and brutality, Styles slides the bottom big boy steel step into the ring and is about to hit a Styles Clash off it to finish Aleister off, but GONG. LIGHTS OUT. GONG. LIGHTS BACK ON. Undertaker is nowhere to be found…. nothing except for his hat. Sat in the middle of the ring. Styles is still on the big step now and Styles staggers back in horror and Black is stood behind him now and nails a Black Mass to the back of the head and Styles falls forward off the step and faceplants into the mat. 1. 2. 3. Black gets the win that he so valuably needs. With the pen in my hand, I’d do just AJ vs. Taker at Wrestlemania, but it does seem to be swaying in the direction of some sort of Tag/Handicap match involving some combination of Undertaker, Black, AJ and The O.C., so this finish leaves the door open for all possibilities. Any way you go about it, Black needs to win this one, and shouldn’t have lost on RAW anyways. Let’s forget about that momentary stint in his momentum, and move on.

We get a backstage interview with Murphy and Seth Rollins accompanied by AOP, and they cut a fiery promo vowing to recapture the titles tonight against Street Profits.
3RD MATCH: Andrade (c) (w/ Zelina Vega) vs. Humberto Carillo (Singles match for the WWE United States Championship)
Humberto is out first (#BringBackDaleGas) followed by the US Champion, Andrade, with Zelina. We get formal ring introductions and the match goes 11 minutes. I would make it longer, but we’ve seen this so many times by now that I’m not sure everyone will be so interested in it, and after 2 big matches, this will have to be the cooldown which will eventually bring the fans back up. The end of the match comes when both men are at a stalemate, and Andrade hits a 619, mocking Rey Mysterio. Andrade then goes up top for the splash that usually follows up the splash and suddenly REY’S MUSIC HITS AND HE POWERWALKS DOWN TO THE RING WITH A PURPOSE. HE IS NOT FUCKING AROUND TODAY. Rey slides in the ring and Angel Garza follows close behind from the back and Rey targets Andrade but Garza pulls him off and begins going after Rey, but Carillo makes the save and wails on his cousin. All four men are engaged in a wild scuffle now and it spills into the crowd, as the match is thrown out. I’m not an advocate for non-finishes on PPV, but if it’s used to advance a storyline like this, then I’m all for it. Especially since this would lead to the rumored Fatal 4-Way between these 4 men for the title at Mania which is going to be ungodly fantastic if true. This is a way to make the best and most exciting situation over just another flat Andrade retain of the title. This 4-way has such potential and I am not GOING TO SLEEP, EAT OR BREATHE UNTIL WE GET IT.
Andrade vs. Humberto Carillo ended in a No Contest after both Rey Mysterio and Angel Garza came down and incited a brawl involving all four men which spilled throughout the arena

4TH MATCH: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) (c) vs. Murphy and Seth Rollins (Tag Team match for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships)
The Disciples of The Rollinspocalyse are out first, followed by the Profits. During their entrance, because we need to do this every PPV for some reason, we introduce all the foreign announce teams. We get formal ring introductions and the match goes about 10 minutes. Not much to say here, but to make up for literally zero black wrestlers getting big wins during Black History Month in WWE, the Profits retain the straps here after Ford hits a Frogsplash on Rollins.

5TH MATCH: Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak (Singles match)
I AM VERY EXCITED FOR THIS PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING MATCH, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. We will witness Technical wrestling 101. Bryan is out first followed by Gulak and the match goes 14 minutes. Gulak cuts a promo on his way down the ramp, addressing a few of Daniel Bryan’s weaknesses that he will take advantage of during his match, like the evil movie villain spilling all his master plans to the hero before he actually does it. After a quarter of an hour of fantastic technical grapplin’, Bryan ultimately gets the win after hitting the B+ Knee into the Yes Lock and Gulak taps out. Bryan has felt very low-stock since his string of losses to the Fiend, and seems to have fallen from grace as the most popular guy in the business. Gulak will feel bigger just from having such a big singles match on PPV against such a big guy, and doesn’t need to win this to be elevated. Bryan honestly needs this win more, he feels like such an afterthought since the storyline with who tried to kill Roman Reigns ended last year, and he needs some momentum to get going again. Gulak could maybe get another shot at the CW Title after this, or maybe, we could go completely left field and begin a Tag Team with Bryan and Gulak leading to an eventual win of the titles, which I wouldn’t be opposed to at all.

6TH MATCH: Braun Strowman (c) vs. Cesaro, Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura (3-On-1 Handicap match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship)
Braun is out first followed by the Inzayn Strong Style Wrestling Purists. The match goes a measly 6 minutes and ends with a Running Powerslam on Sami Zayn. Post-match, as Strowman celebrates, SHEAMUS RUNS IN AND BROGUE KICKS BRAUN into oblivion. Sheamus holds up the one title he has never won, the one title missing from his collection and points toward the Wrestlemania sign as he drops the title across Braun’s chest.

Before our main event, we go back up to our pre-show panel and we examine every competitor in the Women’s Chamber match. The entire arena can hear them talking this time, as they’re on the loud speakers with proper microphones. We get a tale of the tape on each, and we finish with Christian talking about Shayna Baszler. Christian seems distant and bothered through this whole segment and transitions the discussion to Beth Phoenix and Randy Orton’s attack on RAW. Christian starts getting hot and goes on a heated rant about how he thought he and Orton were once friends, that he could trust Orton, he mentions their matches back in 2011, and says he will never forgive him for doing what he did to Edge. OUTTA NOWHERE COMES AN RKO OVER THE PANELISTS TABLE. Christian is OUT and Orton drags his body by his suit collar to the ring through the crowd and clotheslines him over the barricade. Orton pushes Christian into the ring and gets a chair. Then he gets another chair. Then he puts a chair under Christian’s head. Then he raises the other chair up in the air, but before he can bring it back down and continue his Conchairto reign of terror…. YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME? EDGE IS BACK ONE NIGHT EARLY WITH A VENGEANCE AND RUSHES THE RING. ORTON GOES TO SWING THE CHAIR AT EDGE BUT HE DUCKS AND HITS A SPEAR AS ORTON DROPS THE CHAIR. Edge tries to turn the tables and sets up a ConChairto on ORTON this time, but of course the one time the babyface tries to do it, this time all the referees and backstage-fight-breaker-uppers run out and separate the two men. Edge tries to break through the crowd and hits a second spear on Orton outside the ring but security comes out to stop it. Edge rolls back into the ring and checks on the shaken-up Christian as his music hits and Orton retreats up the ramp.
7TH MATCH: Asuka vs. Liv Morgan vs. Natalya vs. Ruby Riott vs. Sarah Logan vs. Shayna Baszler (Women’s Elimination Chamber match for a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at Wrestlemania 36)
Asuka is out first, followed by Liv Morgan, followed by Ruby Riott, followed by the last woman who we know will be contained in a pod… Shayna Baszler. The two women who will start the match, we now know, are Natalya and Sarah Logan. Natalya and Logan go at it for the first five minutes and trade signature moves. Sarah Logan goes for a Reverse Suplex but Natalya gets out and lands on her feet and sweeps Sarah off her feet and locks in a Sharpshooter as the clock appears for our first competitor to be released from their pod. The lights flicker on each pod and OUT COMES SHAYNA BASZLER AT #3. Shayna immediately begins to dominate as she pulls Natalya off the Sharpshooter and locks in a submission of her own and Natalya taps out. Sarah Logan gets up, limping and tries to fight Shayna off but Shayna wriggles her down to the mat and Sarah taps out to the Kirifuda Clutch as well. WITH ONLY ONE WRESTLER OUT OF THE POD, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ELIMINATION CHAMBER HISTORY, THERE IS ONLY ONE WOMAN STANDING IN THE RING. 3 pods still full, the clock appears as Baszler stares at all 3 remaining pods and out at #4 is Liv Morgan. Liv and Ruby’s pods are adjacent to each other, and Liv walks out not even paying any attention to Shayna Baszler. Liv locks eyes with Ruby Riott, her former friend who broke her heart by betraying her, and in a moment reminiscent of the dive of faith over the contract signing table onto Ruby on RAW a few weeks back, like a human missile, LIV MORGAN SENDS HERSELF CRASHING THROUGH RUBY’S POD AND THE GLASS SHATTERS INTO A BILLION PIECES AND LIV FINALLY HAS RUBY WHERE SHE WANTS HER. Liv and Ruby brawl everywhere and Ruby tries to escape by climbing up the chain wall, Shayna still standing silent in the ring, watching her prey, but Liv stops her and powerbombs Riott to the ground. Shayna is still alone in the ring, stone-faced as all the attention is on the two former Riott Squad members. The two fight for a few minutes and Liv climbs to the top rope for a Missile Dropkick but Ruby gets up in time and NAILS a Riott Kick to Liv who is sent crashing to the mat below. Ruby covers her for the elimination. Half of the competition in the match is already out, and the last woman hasn’t even left her pod yet. It’s now down to Shayna Baszler and Ruby Riott who taunts Liv Morgan as she’s helped out of the structure and doesn’t see SHAYNA SNEAK UP BEHIND HER AND LOCK IN THE KIRIFUDA CLUTCH FOR HER THIRD ELIMINATION OF THE MATCH. Never before has it come down to one wrestler alone in the ring, waiting for the last woman to leave her pod, and that’s all that remains, until now. An incredibly dominant performance by Baszler may be about to come to a halt, when the last woman to leave her pod and the #6 entrants into the match is… ASUKA. Shayna and Asuka stare a hole through each other as they walk towards each other. Shayna and Asuka meet, only three ropes between them, and get in each others faces. The two most dominant NXT Women’s Champions of all time are about to go at it, finally. It all kicks off suddenly when SHAYNA WRAPS HER ARMS AROUND ASUKA AND HITS A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX INTO THE RING, BUT ASUKA GETS RIGHT BACK UP. ASUKA hits a flurry of kicks to Shayna, and the two trade submission attempts. Asuka Lock. Kirifuda Clutch. Asuka Lock. Kirifuda Clutch. Asuka Lock. Kirifuda Clutch. This is the proper competitive part of the match after Shayna has completely bulldozed through most of the others in the match, and the question is forming in everybody’s minds whether Shayna is really READY FOR ASUKA or not. The two have a mini-match in the Chamber match itself, and they go at it for a good 5 minutes, not giving too much away of what these two could really do together. In the end, Shayna hits her Rollover Gutwrench Suplex combo and transitions the final one into the clutch for the victory. The show ends with Baszler standing tall in the ring and Becky Lynch’s music hits the speakers and she bravely steps inside the chamber, steps up to Shayna, and raises her title as she looks from Shayna to the Wrestlemania sign and back, and we go off the air with their intense confrontation in the center of the ring.
