I’m visiting Florida in a few months and trying to decide if cocoa beach or Clearwater beach is a better option. Which beach has clearecleaner water? Which is better for families?
Cocoa Beach, Indian River : Swimming, kayaking, snorkeling etc.
I was wondering what Cocoa Beach and Indian River are like water wise. Good for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling etc. I have done some Googling, and reddit searches and it seems like the snorkeling isn't great because of the currents, but what about in between the island ways and such. I used to live in Tampa, and I missed out on buying a kayak and going swimming in the gulf as much as I could. I do not want to do the same in Orlando with the springs, and cocoa beach. I was wondering if an open kayak is a good choice as well, since it would be easier ( I think I am a newb to kayaking still ) to get in and out of it for swimming, good for fishing etc. compared to an enclosed one.
