So I saw this video and the outcry from the general public who don't really understand how a casino works and expected it to be posted here too, I really expected a completely different point of view though from /poker.
Why do people who understand how a casino works think they'd cheat so blatantly on stream for $100? They are a casino, they have a guaranteed edge. Live dealers make mistakes all the time, he wasn't looking at the cards, he wouldn't have noticed he took the second card. I do understand how it would look dodgy though.
A casino cheating at Blackjack for one hand makes absolutely no logical sense. Why don't they just rig their non live dealer games, would be far less detectable lol.
Casinos are seen as big evil businesses I get it, makes it very easy to disregard logic and assume the worst.

As confirmed by another poster here who used to work at these live dealer online casinos, there are at least two scanners in the shoe allowing the dealer to know at minimum what card is directly up next. I suspect though, they know a much deeper penetration into the shoe. There is a screen in front of the dealer just off screen that displays the current seats they need to deal, it also displays the upcoming cards (what I highly suspect).
They use specific but subtle hand signals that only other players that are in on it would know what they mean. Next time while the timer is counting down to place your bets, pay close attention to the dealers left hand as they sliding their thumb down the shoe. It's hard to explain but just keep an eye on the shoe while bets are being placed. The only signal I think I figured out is if the dealer swipes their thumb down the middle of the shoe multiple times (pretending prep the shoe), it means to increase your bet. If they swipe once, it means keep your bet low. They will also periodically swipe the side of the shoe with their thumb (left or right side) and I believe that indicates when to bet the bonuses (pair or rummy).
I know I probably sound crazy but i've been studying it for awhile. You can witness this yourself just by sitting at the table without playing and observe how the dealer swipes their thumb down the shoe. Pay special attention only to the players with large $100+ bets and $25 bets on the bonuses. All of a sudden they are placing $100, 200, 300+ bets and 9 times out of 10 they get either a blackjack or twenty when they do this. Also observe the dealer's right hand as players either hit or stand with the hand. The order will vary greatly depending on this so the dealer actively gives hints if they should hit or stay.
The fucked up thing is, if you start betting behind them the player will leave the table all of a sudden so you can't ride the gravy train with them. I am 99% certain dealers are colluding with certain players at the table and at the end of the day, they share the winnings. Keep an eye only on the players with large bets. Don't waste your time with the others as they are not in on it and are suckers just like you and me.

Pay close attention to my balance and my bets. Notice @ 1:35 I have 131 balance. I placed a 50 bet wager. After over a minute of the site freezing I refresh it. When I return I have a balance of 31?!?!?! Site keeps freezing. When you refresh, your chips are gone... without any cards being dealt. SHAMEFUL. No response to my repeated tries to fix problem on their end. Its not my internet either as everything else works great consistently. I am a terrible blackjack player, but I am slowly getting better by learning about basic strategy and reading the content in this sub-reddit.

With that being said, I have only played black jack online. I have yet to go to a casino in person and play due to covid. My only experience with black jack is at BetOnline.AG. I play single-deck blackjack with the following rules:

1. one deck
2. only double on 10 and 11
3. dealer must hit soft 17
4. BJ pays 3 to 2
5. insurance is allowed when dealer holds an Ace
6. I bet between $1 and 5$ per hand
7. I have currently played 2100 hands at $1 to $5 bets, with a win rate of 32.5% (11/7/20)

Does anyone in this subreddit have any personal experience playing on BetOnline? The reason I ask is because I am getting railed. If I play a 200 hand session, I will go on a 8 hand losing streak at least three times throughout the session. At first I thought this was because I am a total noob, but even after constant practice and reading about strategy, I am starting to see some bullshit patterns.
I also found out this morning, that back in 2017, BOL literally had a black jack scandal with their "live dealer" black jack format in which the dealer himself was caught on camera cheating.

I am a frequent blackjack player, and during the lockdown, I have played a fair share of online blackjack, both with live dealers and regular video blackjack (Betonline & Bovada are my go to). Last month, I came across Chumba casino because they were throwing Ads in my face on facebook.
For those of you who dont know, Chumba Casino is a sweepstakes casino. I wont get into the details, but they basically operate as a sweepstakes instead of saying they are a casino. Besides for that, everything else on the website is identical to an online casino excluding a sports book. It is hard to explain, but you can learn more by doing a quick google search.
Anyways, heres where it gets interesting. I started playing blackjack and right away noticed that the dealer showed a 20 literally everytime they were showing a face card/10. (not literally, but alot) Because I have a ton of free time, I decided to run a little statistics experiment and record my results for 2000 hands of blackjack over a week period. I played perfect strategy.
# of winning Hands - 570 ~29%
# of losing Hands - 1413 ~71%
# of times dealer was showing a face card: 1076
# of times the dealer had 20 (without hitting) when showing a face card: 901
# of times I busted when dealt 12-16: 1298
# of times dealer busted when showing a bust card: 400

To me, this seems extremely out of the ordinary for blackjack. I have only done this one other time on Bovada for 150 hands and those results were expected.

This all just makes me believe that because chumba operates as a sweepstakes, they can basically make their own odds. Maybe this is obvious. IDK. Thoughts?

One thing to consider when playing Spanish 21 online is that since the 10's are removed the Dealer (and yourself) will get blackjack less. Because the Dealer has less of a chance to hit Blackjack we recommend not buying insurance if the dealer has an Ace up.
